Searching for FemmeMode....

SELF PORTRAIT: I'm learning to be okay with seeing "me" in photos before my surgery...it's hard - I barely recognize myself anymore.... and I still hate my double chin....it this picture it is not the worse I've seen. Strangely enough...even through all of the weight gain...I still feel beautiful, sexy, confident...this is amazes me.

Don Knotts
A sad day as Don Knotts passes away at 81. Will always remember him for the Incredible Mr. Limpet... I haven't seen it in years, but from what I recall it's either romantic or stupid, things I loved as a child. I also remember his duo with Tim Conway...what a helarious couple of men!!
Now, I feel sad for my daughter as well...b/c he has currently been the voice of "Wormie"(tan catapillar to the right) in the "Hermie" DVD series!! Tim conway is the voice of "Hermie," the green catapillar in the Max Lucado DVD series about Hermie and friends...~

What does your sleeping position say about you??
| What Your Sleeping Position Says |
You have a passion for everything - including sleeping. Outgoing and brash, you tend to still shock those who know you well. You tend to be selfish. You are the most likely type to hog the covers. You gravitate toward comfort and don't like extreme situations. |

Worries Over Weight-Loss Surgery

It's amazing what kind of 'coverage' gastric bypass is getting. I don't know if it's MORE since I decided to have it, or if I am just MORE AWARE ?!
So...the Wall Street Journal ran a piece in the personal section ...and my best friends boyfriend found it and cut it out....and then she sent it to me. We told them about my choice to have RNY 2 weeks ago...and although he didn't say it when we were having breakfast...he's been processing my decision - and is baffled why I would choose this journey.
I think of my 2 year old...and what I hear is - "how can I continue on this way, especially when she is getting more and more active...and deserves to have a Mommy that will 'go-go-go'...and run in the park with her!" ~ I know that there is risk involved...but, I think that it is so important for her...for me...for my husband.
Well...overall...the article wasn't THAT bad....it stated the known fact that the surgery has a 1 in 200 risk of fatality. That the surgery is especially risky for patients 60yrs....and it goes on. I'm not going to worry about this...
I'm "Queen LaTivo"....I've tivo'd anything to do with or that mentions 'gastric by
pass' - little by little I am hearing stories, good and bad. I especially like hearing about people who have had the surgery 4, 5, 6 yrs. ago. It all comes back to - "this surgery is not an EASY FIX...it does get the patient out of immediate risks that are weight related." But, there are sooo many other emotional struggles that take much time and many years to break thru.
I know this now...and want to be educated in how to deal with my eating disorder...and how I deal with food in life...and how I emotionally deal with life thru food.~ ::::sigh::::
It seems that there is a high rising rate of patients that w/in a 3 yr. period have to return for additional surgery. 20.2% of surgery patients were admitted to the hospital the year after surgery. ~ wow this is sooo high! The other percentages are high as well....
I'm praying my way thru this one...

Lady Francesca finds LOVE.....
My Dearest C.W.It warms my heart that we met on such an unexpected adventure.... What a beautiful day we spent together at the Arboretum in Dallas.
I've never met anyone quite like you....there are no feline quite your hue down in the south. I know you are well traveled by your wit and knowlege of far away places. You are also very experienced and not so shy infront of the camera lense.
As you can see by my expression I am not as experienced as you...your travel partner caught us quite off gaurd when we tried to have a little "alone time" in the back of our carriage. I hope you will look to this photo fondly...and remember as you travel the world ...that someone in Texas holds you in the highest regard.
I will always cherish these short moments we've had together in my heart...
Much love My Darling,
Lady Francesca

"I'm not a computer person..."
But still...I'd say "I'm not a computer person,"
Sooo.....
I didn't really understand why this was called a "BLOG"....so this afternoon, I ask Wonderboy why is it called a Blog....
he acts as if I'm razzing him and says, "WEB LOG"....
Me: "But what about the B?"
Wonderboy: "B from WeB?"
I know he thinks I'm not serious...but, I go on to tell him in amazement how I read about this woman who journaled her trip to Europe this year...and how cool it was to read it all....or my sweet JustPat is BLogging her House Chronicles...
Wonderboy is looking at me as if to say: "And?"
I find all of this very interesting...entertaining...fun. Actually...it all makes me want to blog.
So....even though I've commented on several Blogs I've read...and really wrote my first one last night....this is my first INTENTIONAL BLOG....and I'm proud that I'm MORE of a "computer person...."

The Adventure...
As it is, I get caught up in starting things...and well...
Let's just say, my sweetie calls me "Flavor of the Month Girl."
Everthing is an adventure...especially life, and recently that is the ever changing life - days - weeks & months of mine.
I love to create.
From painting, drawing....scrapbooking...clothing, interiors...photography... the list is endless.
I like to be creative.
We'll see if this project gets off the ground....or "blogged down" by Life.
